The strength of the vineyard

 

Armagnac is France’oldest eau-de-vie.
As early as the XVth century, documents attest teh dispatching of this noble product in Gascony, particulary in the Landes ara.

It is since that period, that a certain care was brought to the growth of the grape vines, carfully selected to create an ideal vineyard.
The Château de Cassaigne’vineyard is located in the " Tenareze " area, one of the three sub-areas that are part of Armagnac area.

Les vignobles : 60 hectares de fierté pour le château de Cassaigne

This 60 hectares vineyard is mainly planted wigh " ugni blanc " " colombard " and " folle blanche ". The Château also had red grape varieties (" carnet, merlot ") for the elaboration of the well known " Floc de Gascogne " and red wines.
